A Sunny Afternoon

The days are getting shorter and shorter. When the sun is out it feels tempered by the cool air and low angle on the horizon. Today the sun was out. As it's rays poured down on my back porch I sat out in my rocker reading a book. I figured it was a good idea to allow myself to be drenched in the vitamin D filled rays. It was nice. The thermometer said 65 degrees. Yes, it was nice.

Norman wanted to join in the fun. I brought him out with me and he lay scanning the shrubs for any sign of squirrel. What a good look out dog.

I love this picutre of Norman for you can tell he is very intent on something (squirrel or a mouse?). Sorry, but I still have no evidence of that creature. More than anything he was enjoying the Sun just as much as you were.

I sat in the sunroom yesterday PM doing the same thing and the rays felt so good. Different state but the same sunshine.

I love taking a book out onto a sunny porch, too! It's too cold here in Atlanta for any more of that, so now I have to content myself with a couch and a cup of tea!

RSG: It is a bonus here in the PacNW to have a smattering of rather fine afternoons to take in some porch time. The temps are dropping here as well...bring on Christmas!
