Simply Sunday...

Today was pleasant...it was cooler out and quite overcast. I took care of house things, ran some errands...nothing of consequence really. Sadly however, I find myself with a bit of a headache.

I'm not really a "headache" person. When one comes upon me I find myself thrown for a loop. I mention this because I've had a couple of headaches recently. Twice, I've been simply beside myself. **give me dark and give me sleep--NOW!**

I know other people are tortured by this nagging pain and I am ever so sorry. A friend suggested I try some Excedrin.

I am on a budget.

Second big ache-o-the-noggin and I stopped at Target. What should my wondering eyes behold...but TWO bottles of the very medicine in a generic carton for less than one name brand bottle (within the budget). DONE!

So, as I felt the magic of this little white medicine...I thought it worthy of a photo.

I also thought of traveling...and how things are different everywhere. Well, not really here in the States. When in a far off place, sometimes it's difficult to find even something as simple as a creme or health aid we're so accustomed to here.

I am thankful for the variety of everything we have here. It seems we have everything in abundance. Our mega-markets and super-stores are chock-a-block with absolutely anything one could ever believe they need.

Quite honestly I do believe it a bit excessive. However, I am quite grateful that there is something on those many shelves that made my head stop spinning and allowed me to think without feeling static in my brain.

I guess this is a rather poor expression of the thoughts mingling in my brain lately...it seems the people are unhappy because our country is so 'without' whatever it is they want us to have. Yet, actually we have more than anyone else. I may not be thrilled to be on a budget and pinching pennies, but I know that in the end it is worth it. Isn't that really the American Dream...that we have the freedom to change our station in life? I'm not disillusioned. I'm just looking to live debt free.

We have freedoms beyond measure...goods and services out the wazoo...a free market economy that allows anyone to go out and earn a buck...we have a voice in our government and so much more...

As I said, a rather poor expression. Perhaps I'll grasp things better and articulate more eloquently in the future. For now, some tea and a good book.
