I'm not sure. It is day 18 and I have blogged more this month than I typically do in a quarter year. (I'm not officially registered--I was too chicken!) If you've bopped over daily-WOW.
I love the comments that you all have been posting and I value your thoughts. For me...it has been sort of cathartic. I know I need to put up something. I am not dreading it. It is almost like a little valve to let out a bit of 'me'. Not the work me that has entirely too much that needs to be finished/started/mailed/written/faxed/noted... Not the social me that really doesn't feel like showing her face much at all. But the me that always is. The me that wants to be the solver of mysteries, the slayer of dragons, the caster of spells and friend of magical and unearthly creatures.
This bit of me is always lurking about in my brain.
I am particularly fond of trees in winter. With branches reaching for he sky and roots bubbling up from the earth, they appear so fanciful! The green of moss and lichen coloring their brown surfaces. The fallen leaves mulching at their bases. Sentinals over the land that feeds them, they see the changes and the stayings the same.
How I'd love to see a Bowtruckle flitting about a stately old pine in a fine old grown forest. ...or to sit for a moment near a babbling brook only to turn and see the forest had shifted. ...or to lie in a patch of sunshine and hear the trees singing a melancholy tune.
So many fanciful thoughts about so many fanciful things. What are the things that your imagination clings to? What are your favorite magical creatures? I hope you take a moment to revel in your thoughts.

Now do you get the ELF?
I am actually listed! Woo Hooo!
Have fun!
Perhaps this "fanciful self" comes from the scrimp & save vacations just to go camping in the mountains by those babbling brooks, walk thru the forest and enjoy the smells, sounds, silence, the majesty of the night sky that so many do not even know exists. Hopefully, that has fueled some of this and so enjoy your thoughts and pix - :) ma
Bers: that is too cool! Thanks for sharing
Ma: one never knows...
ocm, I LOVE your quote: "The me that wants to be the solver of mysteries, the slayer of dragons, the caster of spells and friend of magical and unearthly creatures." I can relate - sometimes I feel like I spend more time in the fantasy worlds of books and my own imagination than in the "real world."
