Chelan-07-09 May

Here are some photos from a little trip I took to Chelan at the beginning of the month. I attended a conference, which was full of lots of great info and I had a chance to hang out with some great folks from all over the state!

Here are a couple of shots on my way over. It was cool that day and a little overcast, but nice on
my side of the mountains.

I go over Steven's Pass to get to Chelan, here is a shot near the summit. There was still quite a bit of snow--even at road level.

Once over the top, things were quite sunny!

We took a boat ride one evening up and around the lake. It was beautiful! The weather was quite nice. As the sun fell behind some clouds and evening came it cooled off quite quickly. None-the-less, I thought it was a fun ride!

Before heading back on Friday I stopped for lunch at a little drive in for a burger and onion rings...yummers! I sat out at one of the seats overlooking the lake...you can see it in the background there behind those giant onion rings!!I waited on a milkshake and stopped later in my journey at a place called The Alpen in Startup, WA. I indulged there with some fried mushrooms too. No photo from there...though I should have, it is the cutest little place you just walk or drive up to!

I love road trips and adventures. So many fun things to see and do, and always an excuse to eat something absolutely yummy I would otherwise refrain from! Special thanks to my friend Karen...if it hadn't been for her, I wouldn't have had a chance to participate in the conference. THANKS!!
